Poo beach

Poo beach. 300m from our hostel

The Hostel Llanes – Playa de Poo is in the village of Poo de Llanes, located two kilometres from the town council, Llanes. Poo is a quiet place with the great fortune of having  one of the most beautiful and one of the safest beaches in the North of Spain just a few metres from the hostel. Here you can take a walk along the Coastal Path and enjoy the breathtaking views over the beaches and cliffs.

The bustling town of Llanes offers  both historical and natural attractions. They include the Paseo de San Pedro, Medieval Old Town, the harbor, the “Casas de Indianos or the beaches.

Llanes, being located on the eastern fringe of Asturias and near the western Cantabria, makes it easy to visit towns like Ribadesella, Arriondas, Cangas de Onis, San Vicente de la Barquera, Comillas, etc.

The karstic terrain of eastern Asturias leads to phenomena such as steep cliffs, numerous caves, inland beaches, “bufones”, etc.

As for active tourism, the numerous rivers, beaches and caves in the area allow activities such as the descent of Sella, canyoning, caving, surfing, paddle surfing, paintball and horseback riding.
